The Alaska Club Fairbanks West

My days are super busy with work, kids, and activities - the AK Club's zoom workout for Group Power fits with my schedule and the trainers are AMAZING. I feel energized and productive without feeling like it's adding to my hectic day.

I love this club. I have met wonderful workout friends. We use the back classroom every day. We are there 5-6 days a week. Dave keeps the old equipment functioning. The only problem is the club needs daily cleaning. Sometimes we have to clean the floors before putting our mats down. I purchased mops that attach to our shoes and we mop the floors before exercising. Thank you for asking my opinion.

The Alaska Club Fairbanks West is a great place to work out. Quiet, no kids running around. Everyone is friendly. My only complaint regarding the club is it is filthy. Floors don't get cleaned enough. I have left several messages ( along with others) on the whiteboard but messages get erased then nothing happens. Dave who works on the machines is on top of it! I would suggest we hire someone to clean the gym properly!

The place is 8/10 times filthy. The equipment compared to the south location, is hand me down quality AT BEST. For the price we pay a month for a Family($165)... it's nearly not worth it but because of limited options (which AK CLUB knows)... they're out to take advantage of most of us here in FAI. Like I said, limited options and due to location some of us have no choice. For the price all of us pay... you'd think a janitor is affordable beyond minimum wage and effort, and some major equipment upgrades.

The equipment is old. Dave does his best to keep it all going. I have written on board to have place clean, but the only thing that gets cleaned is board! The club needs to hire a responsible cleaning person. I love the club and do enjoy working out there. One needs to be blind of the filth.
